The Final costumes are a vital part of any film/trailer and a lot of thought went in to them. For Caitlin it was discussed in the ideas that we wanted her to be in summer, vibrant clothes which is exactly how she was.

Daisy’s and Aimee’s costumes was easy for us as they are portrayed as the cheerful trendy best friends. The final outfits usually included skirts, shorts, small tops and dresses due to the hot, sunny weather. It had to look believable and practical. Although Aimee is only seen briefly and as a supporting role, her outfits still need to be taken into consideration. The outfits below are what she wore on holiday and at the festivals she went too.

Jaq’s outfit for the news reporter was a stylish, smart suit, which is conventional and expected for a news reporter. As Jaq has to wear a suit to school everyday, it wasn’t an issue to film in school hours, nor an issue to get hold of the costume.

Finally, the black gloves seen that is shown picking up Caitlin’s phone is simply one of us acting within our film just due to only the hands being seen. The outfit was just an all black jumper with long sleeves and thick black gloves like so:

The other props included are make-up and rope to make Caitlin seem as though she is tied up and injured.

As I was filmed for some simplistic scenes including walking away and dragging Caitlin, I dressed in all black and wore the gloves so I looked as though I was mysterious and couldn’t be seen.

This is conventional and fits with our genre because Daisy is meant o appear like the damsel in distress so they audience are drawn in and can sympathise for her when she is taken, also the all black outfit reinforces danger as black has connotations of death and loss. This just emphasises our genre as we wanted it to obvious what we were trying to portray in every aspect. Also, the prop of the gloves, blood and make-up reinforced the thriller/drama genre as it leaves mystery and an enigma for the audience to uncover and the blood is very common in our genre films as someone is usually hurt or taken.
